Rights and licensing

Ask before you reuse an image.

These notes explain what the gallery files are for and how to ask about a permitted use.

Reference viewing is not permission

NightSkyLens gallery images are displayed for reference and browsing. Downloading or viewing an original or reference file does not grant permission to copy, publish, sell, print, distribute, or make a derivative work. Written permission is required before reuse.

Print and licensing inquiries

Use the image-specific inquiry link when you know which frame you want. Include the intended use, print size or format, quantity, audience, territory, and any deadline that matters. A request is an inquiry; permission and terms are confirmed separately.

Credits stay with their source

Gallery captures are credited to David Musser / NightSkyLens where the record identifies them as my photographs. Articles may also include charts, diagrams, data, or reference imagery from other sources. Those assets retain the source-specific credit or caption shown beside them, and a NightSkyLens permission for one of my photographs does not grant rights to a third-party asset.

If you are unsure which asset a request concerns, send a note with the page or image link before reusing it.
